Movimientos presents another full powered Saturday night taking you on a musical trip through Latin America and the Caribbean with an afro-centric twist. RADIO PALENKE combine Colombian champeta, soukouss, soca, cumbia and reggaeton, proposing a musical trip in Latin America and the Caribbean, covering cultural crossroads between Africa, Europe and America. These 5 musicians from the Parisian banlieues will take you to a 100% tropical party with their guitar riffs and powerful rhythms. +
FIRST WORLD PROS are an explosive new musical team from Brighton. Their music is loud, fast, rhythmic and melodious, filtering western pop, rock, electronica and punk through the prism of African music. Their songs focus on the mundanities, phenomena and obsessions of life in the ‘First World’ and are in turns comic, angry and life affirming. Including members of Django Spears, Carnival Collective and Mumford and Sons’ touring band. +
SIFAKA is a 6-piece band from Leeds, setting stages alight with their fusion of soul, rock and African blues. Growing up with an obsession for the 60s and the music of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, Sifaka’s sound unleashes powerful riffs, seething solos and soaring vocals. Fusing elements of African blues with their beloved rock music, Sifaka have developed their own unique sound, taking them to the frontiers of the blues. +
MOVIMIENTOS DJs will be firing out Latin beats, carnival sounds and tropical bass.
