FRUIT PALACE presents AHNANSÉ & KING GEB blur the raw energy of grime and feel good vibes of afrobeats with the sonic depths of spiritual jazz. Born from the South London music collective and creative melting pot Steam Down their sound channels a relentless high energy with deep bustling rhythms stemming from West African, Caribbean and London roots.

Coining Afro-Twang to describe her sound NAMIWA JAZZ blends Nu-soul, African Jazz, Hip Hop and R&B. Her debut FP performance was so good we had to invite Namiwa and her band back sharpish! They’ve recently opened up the main stage at Mostly Jazz Soul and Funk Festival ahead of Jimmy Cliff. This year has seen Namiwa Jazz and her band tour Europe playing festivals including New Skool Rules and other established music venues around the UK. With support from BBC WM and Radio 1 Introducing fans are feeling the world may see another great voice emerge from the West Midlands that amongst others, has produced Joan Armatrading and Laura Mvula.

Bristol’s STEREO KELA deliver a captivating live show of conscious dance music traversing electro, disco, house, soul, jazz and beyond with soaring vocals and epic trumpet.

Producer/DJ SUBCULTURE has established himself as one of the most hot-tipped innovators in the UK hip hop/soul scenes. One half of left-field hip hop duo ‘Subculture Sage’ (described by Wonderland as “the freshest duo in British hip hop”) and director of ‘Twisted Hearts Records’.
SUBCULTURE also produces for a number of other artists and has garnered a long list of radio and press support including Zane Lowe, Gilles Peterson, Complex, and The Independent. He is an avid collector of jazz, world, soul and new wave and is guaranteed to keep the dance floor vibing.
