Wednesday 10 October 2018

Time: 9pm - 12 midnight

Another night of exquisite musical treats and all for free. We are welcoming three acts that are new to Hootananny Songwriters and Wordsmiths.

LAURA VICTORIA performs powerful and original songs of love and life, accompanied by her own left-field cello playing with innovative banjo and fiddle from Jo Cooper and drums from Josh Wolfsohn. ‘A unique new talent’ R2 Magazine. ‘A spell binding and all-consuming performance’. Folk Radio UK.

We are also very excited to welcome TAMARA WEBER-FILLION, a folk singer songwriter from Montreal. Over the past few years she has been playing her music around the world. She has been on The Voice France and Canada, released a first album in 2014, been busking and travelling in all her spare times. And now she’s working on her second album in Paris

And JOSHU, singer/songwriter from Antigua in the Caribbean. His music is acoustic, folky, very lyrics based, catchy. Somewhere between Nick Mulvey and Jack Johnson. Influence from caribbean calypso, and spirituals/blues as well. He also uses a loop pedal to accompany some of his tunes.

Music will start early this month with some young singer songwriters trying out some songs! Aisling Carter, a young South London based singer-songwriter
& Ruby and Sian, acoustic duo from South London. Come on down to give them some support!
