Wormfood presents Kakatsitsi Master Drummers from Ghana return to the UK for their 14th UK tour. After their recent performances at WOMAD and West Holts at Glastonbury, and recent collaborations with The Orb and Afriquoi, it’s safe to say they are now Europe’s leading traditional African drumming group, known for the accessibility of their dance grooves as well as the quality of their 5 part harmony singing.

They will be joined by musicians and dancers from two other African cultures to create an ’Indigenous Supergroup’: the !Gubi Family of San Bushmen from the Kalahari Desert in Namibia, keepers of the ancient musical traditions of their culture and among the last thousand speakers of their language, and David Mbilou representing the Bwiti tradition of Gabon: an ancient shamanic tradition ivolving the psychoactive plant Iboga: original, authentic trance music, played all night long during ceremonies and initiations.
