Having had one of their debut shows at Hootananny way back in 2013, this band is now off in the stratosphere of stardom, it’s about time we had a reunion… so we are extremely proud to welcome back the almighty Ibibio Sound Machine. Supporting will be the next band tipped for international success, new kids over at Tru Thoughts, Lakuta. Plus direct from Rio, the main man at Digital Dubs Soundsystem, Jota 3. Phew… what a line up!

IBIBIO SOUND MACHINE, Funky Electronic & West-African Soundclash. Fronted by Nigerian singer Eno Williams, Ibibio Sound Machine is a clash of African and electronic elements inspired in equal measure by the golden era of West-African funk & disco and modern post-punk & electro. With previous releases on Soundway Records, 2016 is set to be another huge year for this London group. LAKUTA, Afrobeat Vibrations, Soul and Funk. Recently signed to the mighty brighton label Tru Thoughts, Lakuta are a musical collective founded by Cicely Taylor in Brighton. The British-based band have heritage from Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Malaysia, Spain and the UK. Drawing on their backgrounds in, funk, soul and world music to create a modern sound, the group is fronted by Kenyan-Tanzanian vocalist Siggi Mwasote and percussionist and vocalist Cicely Taylor +
